While attending Suffolk Law School, Attorney Moniz also worked full time in a Boston law firm, first as a paralegal and then as an Associate Attorney when admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2002, where she gained invaluable experience in complex asset division and child custody litigated divorce cases. One of her primary goals in opening her own law practice was to help clients gain access to effective quality legal representation in the most cost efficient manner.

  

Attorney Moniz is a strong advocate who provides her clients’ options. Attorney Moniz provides mediation services, which is a less adversarial way to resolve disputes at a significant cost savings by avoiding a costly and lengthy litigated divorce. Attorney Moniz also provides effective quality legal representation taking into consideration her clients’ unique circumstances. Attorney Moniz represents clients in settlement negotiations, in court representation and also in Limited Assistance Representation (LAR), when appropriate.

 

Attorney Moniz has seen the lives of many clients improve dramatically after reaching an agreement through mediation. After going through mediation, couples often learn to communicate more effectively, which is important as both parties continue to be involved as parents. Clients’ lives have also improved after receiving legal representation to protect and secure their rights with regards to support, child custody and parenting plan and/ or being empowered to leave an unhealthy relationship and get divorced.  

Attorney Moniz also has over twenty (20) years of experience in residential real estate transactions. Prior to attending law school, she worked full-time as a real estate paralegal. She also continued to improve her skills and gained invaluable experience working as an Exclusive Buyer's Broker while practicing law. Since 2002, Attorney Moniz has practiced in the area of residential real estate representing buyers, sellers and lenders and handling all aspects of residential real estate transactions from drafting purchase and sale agreements, title review, preparing for closing and post-closing responsibilities.
