Mediation & Collaborative Law

Not every divorce needs to be resolved through litigation. For couples who want to work toward an agreement outside of court, I provide divorce mediation services helping both parties identify the issues that need to be addressed, understand their options, and work toward an informed agreement.

I also represent clients in collaborative divorce, where each spouse has independent legal counsel but commits to resolving the divorce through a structured, non-adversarial process rather than litigation.

The goal is not simply to reach an agreement, but to help ensure that the decisions being made are informed, workable, and appropriate for the circumstances.

I have over 30 years of experience in residential real estate from working as a real estate paralegal and as an attorney since 2002 representing buyers, sellers, and lenders in Massachusetts real estate transactions. 

That experience also provides an additional perspective in divorce matters involving the marital home or other real estate assets. Issues involving a sale, refinancing, a buyout, mortgage obligations, or the decision whether to retain or transfer real estate can have significant legal and financial consequences.

My real estate background allows me to help clients better understand those issues as part of the broader decisions they may be making during divorce.
